Art to Adore

I would like you to find the art on these pages, stimulating, interesting and thought provoking. I’m hoping you find the pictures pleasurable to look at. I aim to try to redress the balance of the craziness of the world with a bit of gorgeousness.

A wee bit about me

I have been an artist for many years and now, thanks to the internet, I can bring my artworks directly to anyone who can access it (like you).

I started out in Nuneaton, a small town in the middle of England, but left at the age of 18 to go to Art College. I have combined being a mother and an artist with different jobs – as an art teacher, outdoor instructor, youth worker, bar staff, shop assistant etc. All through, however, I have continued to make art and have occasionally sold it!

I have lived, exhibited and travelled all over the world and this has had a direct influence on my work.

After leaving Malawi (SE Africa) in September 2019, I arrived with my husband in Scotland and have taken up residence in Hawick, a wee town in the Borders.

I have participated internationally in exhibitions and Art Fairs, most recently Glasgow Contemporary Art Fair (May 2018).

How life will pan out as an artist in the ‘new normal’ is something I am thinking about a lot! Any comments appreciated……..
