This painting was inspired by the colours in rivers, the sea and snow. The many horizons I have travelled towards and the may means I have used to travel there. The cut along the centre is in the shape of a meandering river. The use of glitter is to show the sparkling effect of the sun on water, snow and ice. I was feeling particularly nostalgic about the West Coast of Scotland when I made this picture.
